How to get the cross dot in VALORANT

Crosschairs come in (almost) all shapes and sizes. There are different outer line lengths, line spacing, colors, etc. They are like snowflakes in that no two are alike.

Well, that might not actually be true. Some pro players use the same or similar cross as others, and many viewers prefer to borrow the pro’s cross in the hope that it will enhance their game. A type of cross seen quite often in VALUABLE is a dot. And by dot, we don’t mean a dot in the center of a normal cross, we mean just a dot.

If you’ve seen one in action and want to try it out for yourself, here’s how you can get two types of slashes in VALUABLE.

Square dots

If the edges don’t bother you, the easiest and most visible cross is the square dot. To get this, go to the crosshair settings page and make these changes.

  • Border and Center Dot: On
  • Inner line display and Outer line display: Off
  • Outline Opacity: Anywhere between 0.5 and 1, depending on preference.
  • Outline Thickness: 1
  • Center dot opacity: 1
  • Center Dot Thickness: From 2 to 5, depending on preference.

These settings will result in a basic square dot with a border around it. You want the top border so that the cross is clearly visible against any background image. The Center Dot Thickness setting is most down to personal preference, however one setting may be too small to see and six too large (as it covers most of the opponent’s head). Your best bet will be between three and four.

Round dot

The center dot of the crosshair settings doesn’t allow you to create a dot, but you can still combine them by shuffling the settings.

  • Outline and Show Inner Lines: On
  • Center dot and Outline display: Off
  • Outline Opacity: Anywhere between 0.5 and 1, depending on preference.
  • Outline Thickness: 1
  • Inner line opacity: 1
  • Inner line length: 2
  • Inner line thickness: 3
  • Internal current difference: 0

As you can see, this creates more of a cross with rounded edges. You can always try in the settings to make some minor adjustments, but this is your basic setup for the round dot. For example, if you want something with a space in the middle of the dot to see through, you can increase the Inner Line Spacing.

For either cross face, when it comes to color, you want something that doesn’t blend into most backgrounds. Therefore, you should avoid anything that is white or yellow, and aim for green, cyan, pink, or red.
